Our Deluxe groundsheets are thermally welded and made with durable 540g/m² ripstop PVC. Completely impenetrable to water & vapour, the floor is made in a ‘bathtub style’ that rises 10 centimetres up to keep you dry even if the bell tent is in standing water. A tailgate style system of secure hooks and eyes allows you to drop the bathtub floor near the door and lay it flat to decrease chances of tripping and make the floor easy to clean. The groundsheet is attached to the tent with quality stitching, keeping it simple and durable.
Spring Loaded Poles
Our durable nickel-plated steel poles have internal spring-loaded wires that guide the pole sections together for simple and fast assembly. The centre pole has a lanyard ring welded to the main pole which can be used to hang an inner tent or lamp.
The 5 Metre Bell Tent's A-frame, signature door allows for easy entry and exit. The A-frame door holds the canvas at 90 degrees from the ground helping to prevent rain from falling into the tent when you are coming and going. The tent’s floor is equipped with two stirrups that hold the foot poles of the A-frame in place. The canvas door zips together along the sides and along the bathtub floor. Each side of the door has ropes and loops so that you can neatly tie back the doors to hold them open when not in use.
Windows and Vents
Every 5 Metre Bell Tent comes with windows and vents covered in no-see-um mesh to keep out the bugs while providing you with airflow. The tent’s half- moon windows have zip-up covers that allow you to customise your desired level of privacy and ventilation. Each window is equipped with loop fasteners to hold the covers when the window is open.
Durable Guy Lines and Tensioners
Our Deluxe series of bell tents comes with 3mm guy ropes that need to be tied on to the tent before you first pitch your tent. Plastic tensioners prevent the edges from cutting into the guy lines to help to prolong the life of your tent.
Steel Stakes and Pegs
The Deluxe stakes and groundsheet pegs are designed for easy insertion and removal from typical earth. For pegging a groundsheet into especially hard soil, D60 nails are a cheap alternative that are easily sourced, and can be placed and removed with a standard claw hammer.
Our 320g/m² army duck canvas is the perfect balance of breathability and performance. Our proprietary treatment enhances the natural water resistance of canvas, along with a light UV and mould resistance. The Deluxe is ideal for casual camping in mild conditions for three season use. Re-treatable and repairable, if the tent is properly maintained it can last for many years.
Cotton canvas provides natural waterproofing and breathability for the tent. Cotton fibres will swell when damp, with the tight weave preventing rain from penetrating the tent and the surface tension of the canopy allowing water to run off. Moisture held in the air on the inside of your bell tent is able to escape directly through the fabric, keeping the tent’s internal humidity low.
Our canvas is made exclusively from cotton. Cotton is sustainable and renewable, and one of the most biodegradable fabrics on earth. Our canvas is a soft, natural, earthy beige that glows inside and out with natural or artificial light.
All of our tents are easily adaptable to fit a modular stove jack. Please note that proper stove placement is dependent on stove size, desired temperature, and intended use. Simply cut a hole in your desired flu exit location and screw on your stove jack. We encourage you to be vigilant about fire safety and Glamping Emporium cannot be held liable for any damage or injury to persons or property resulting from the use or misuse of fire or flammable materials.
